Level 1 Training Begins Soon!
CTV invites you to come be a part of our upcoming training program. As a CTV production trainee, you will get hands-on experience with modern video production equipment while leraning how to create a wide variety of programs from start to finish.
Topics include:
- The video production process
- Electronic field production
- Studio production
- Multi-camera event production
- Basic cinematography
- Audio for video
- Lighting design for studio and field production
- Scriptwriting and storytelling
- Basic editing concepts
After successfully completing the production trainee program, you will have the opportunity to serve as an intern on a wide array of CTV productions. The minimum number of internship hours required to move to the next level is 21.
After completing the production trainee classes and the internship program, you are eligible to apply for crew member status! “Crew Members” are per-diem independent contractors who work for pay on productions at our studio in St. Clair and in our communities. The average production ranges from 2-6 hours, depending on the nature of the event we are covering. Our production “crew members” not only represent CTV, but our community-at-large. As a “crew member,” you’ll work on every aspect of our productions from production technician (audio, camera, graphics, etc.) to technical director and director.
